My practice involves exploring colour, form, texture, and luminosity. I often use a precise paper-inlay technique to create geometric shapes or images, such as Rainbow 101 above.

I start by creating sheets of graduated or textured paper. I then hand-cut the shapes I need, selecting the best colour or tone. For Rainbow 101 (above), I was able to use offcuts from previous work for the rainbow. I used a cutting machine for the small complex shapes on the Dalmation, as the fibres in the 300 gsm watercolour paper are too tough to cut accurately by hand.

My most recent works are displayed under 'current works', and this is updated weekly. The paintings are all for sale, so please enquire if you are interested in a piece. The 'gallery' contains works going back over the past 20 years.
